Gym Day: Wed Feb 23 '11 - OMG!

OMG, What a day!

Today was cardio day and I went to the YMCA with my gym partner since she finally made time to work out with me. We are so darn competitive! One day we are going to kill ourselves in the gym. Wait, I actually died on one of the bikes we were on, LOL damn! We really put in work yesterday and challenged ourselves. So much so I couldnt write this post till this morning since I was sore, I'm still sore! Having a partner really makes a difference especilly if they will motivate you to push past your limits and let me tell you this B*** was pushing me.

What I did today:
15 min Hill Climb - Eliptical
15 min Alpine - Bike (w/o a back)
15 min manual - Bike (w/ back support)
Abs

Okay so I didn't realize that the bikes worked you differently. So I'm pedaling minding my own business and out of nowhere the tension on the bike got sooo tight that I had to stand up to pedal, it was insane. So I look over at my partner just to see what she is doing and she has to stand up as well, but this B*** (lovingly) is a good .12 mi and 10 calories ahead of me. No matter how much I pedaled she was a good 10 calories ahead. Wow! Maybe it's because she's taller than me or because she masturbated 3 times before we went to the gym, lol I don’t know but she was on fire. Could it be because she knew I was writing this post, either way she killed it! At the end of the 3 machines I burned 323 calories and she burned 397 calories.

What did I eat:
Breakfast - bowl of oatmeal and strawberries
Lunch - 1 meatball and a little pasta (meatballs are finally done!)
Snack - sandwich on whole wheat bread
Dinner- I cooked a beef stir fry but I was satisfied from my last snack so I skipped dinner
Snack - cereal (Fruity Pebbles)

  1. LMAO....you're too funny. Absolutely right about the competition. It forces you to challenge yourself.

  2. When you began your journey of eating less, did you find yourself feeling shaky and weak like symptoms of low blood sugar and have alot of gas? How much time do you wait before and after working out to get the maximum benefits of your workout? Do you hold your stomach in when working out?

  3. @ Nina, LOL, and I needed the challenge!

@ Latonya2530, Thanks for reading the blog. To answer your questions when I started the low calorie diet the first few days were shaky till my body adjusted. I had mild headaches and was a little fatigued. I drank Powerade Zero and that helped. After the first week I was fine. I felt satisfied eating less and continued from there. For me in order to get the changes I want to make in my thighs and arms 5 days per week / 1 hour each session is good for me in the gym. The key is pushing myself and not getting comfortable. Yes, I do always hold my stomach in with each work out. It helps to keep your ab muscles engaged to help strengthen them which is important for many of the exercises that are done.
